If you took a long gap to write an article on your Blog, or if you did not update your site for a long time, then your site slowly dips down its search results from search engine results. This is part of Google Panda Search Algorithm which was introduced in the early 2011 to get the desired search results with the freshly updated content.

Do you know that, your old posts are the main sources of your Blog? Because, the Site ranking and Backlinks are calculated from your old posts reputation and traffic. In fact, your Google Page Rank also depends upon the same. So, you must check your Old posts frequently. Check Broken links and update your old posts (At least, one of your famous and high traffic posts), to avoid these issues.

6. Check Your SEO Plugins are Updated

A status code of 301 tells a client that the resource they asked for has permanently moved to a new location. The response should also include this location. It tells the client to use the new URL the next time it wants to fetch the same resource. To resolve this, always provide an alternate URL for your Posts. Search Engines give prior importance to 301 redirection for the best results and also not to affect your Page Ranking.
